Route stops#
A route stop is a place along a route: a monument, a gate, a city square. Stops are completed in order, as you walk the route, and it is they that advance your touring progress. Each stop has its own way of being completed — most often it is enough to be there.
A route stop is not a find#
These two kinds of content look alike, but they are separate:
- A route stop belongs to a specific route and is completed as part of walking it — you see it after tapping the route or while touring.
- A find is independent of routes, sits on the map permanently and is collected once (Finds).
The app keeps the difference: a find cannot be added as a route stop, and a route stop cannot be turned into a find. The differences in how the markers look are described in Map legend.
Ways to complete a stop#
| Method | How it works | What you see on screen |
|---|---|---|
| GPS | Entering the stop radius (45 m by default). During an active route a GPS stop completes by itself — without tapping. The server verifies the position. | “Completing…” and a completion confirmation |
| Puzzle | A question appears on the spot — you type the answer. Letter case and extra spaces do not matter. | The Puzzle field and a confirm button |
| AR | A stop (or a find) with a 3D model: you open the AR camera, find the model in the real world and collect it. | Open AR — or “AR isn't available on this device” (AR view) |
The server checks the puzzle answer — it keeps only a hash of it, so it cannot be peeked at in the app's data. A wrong answer shows the message Wrong answer, but you lose nothing and can keep trying (in the Journal it is recorded as “Wrong puzzle answer”).
How to complete a stop#
- Get close to the stop. While you are still too far away, the card shows Come closer (~120 m) — that is the distance you still have to cover.
- On the spot the button changes to Complete stop (for a puzzle: a field with the question; for AR: Open AR).
- Tap the button or — for GPS stops during a tour — simply keep walking; the stop completes automatically and you feel it as a short vibration.
- The route panel jumps to the next stop and shows the way and the distance to it.
Order of stops#
- Stop number N unlocks after stop N−1 is completed. In the panel you see this as Stop 3/6 — the first number is the stop you are heading to.
- While touring, the panel and the chip show progress, e.g. Exploring: Ogród i skwery · 3/6.
- A completed stop is low and grey on the map, while the next one is taller, with a spark and pulsing, so your eye knows at once where to go.
- You can also browse the stops without touring: in the route panel tap Browse stops (6).
What happens after completing#
| Effect | Where to see it |
|---|---|
| Route progress | the “Exploring” chip and the route panel (e.g. 4/6) |
| History entry | Journal (“Stop completed”, “Find collected”) |
| Tokens | balance and “Where tokens come from” (Rewards and badges) |
| Route completed | the Route completed! message and the route counter in the Profile |
