Installation#
You install Fyndi from an APK file downloaded from our website — the app is not in Google Play. The whole thing takes a minute and needs no computer and no account.
Where to download the app#
The newest release always lives at fyndi.app/downloads/latest.apk — that link always points to the freshest version, the same one the app offers under “Check for updates” (details: App updates).
- Open that address on your phone, ideally in Chrome or another browser.
- Wait for the file to download — it is about 80 MB, so on a slow connection it may take a few minutes.
- Open the downloaded file from the download notification and choose Install.
- If the system asks for permission to install apps from this source, grant it and return to the installer (usually one tap on “Settings” in that prompt is enough).
- Once installed, open Fyndi and go to First steps.
Requirements#

Step-by-step installation#
- Download the file from the address in the “Where to download the app” section.
- Open the download notification (or the browser → Downloads) and tap the file.
- Choose Install, and when the system asks for permission to install from this source tap Settings → Allow and return to the installer.
- When it finishes, tap Open.
- On the login screen pick one of three ways: log in, create an account, or continue as a guest — no registration needed.
When the installation fails#

A very old installation: key signature#
Every Fyndi release is signed with the same release key, so a newer version installs on top of the older one — no uninstalling, no data loss. One exception: if your phone still has a version older than 0.113.8, Android will refuse to install, because the signature was different back then. In that case uninstall the old Fyndi and install the new one; after logging in your progress comes back from the server (only app settings such as the chosen theme are lost on the device).
